About Me

My name is Lisa Kercher, and there is where I spend my time online. I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and I plan on staying here for the long haul.

That isn't to say that I don't love to travel. I am very nostalgic for the places I travel, as I made many a lengthy and lovely road trip with my parents when I was a child. I will always be a prairie girl at heart - I have a crush on hay bales, red barns, big open blue sky, and the mountains in the distance - but I feel the tug of the ocean every once and awhile and dream of pressing my toes into the cold sand while on the lookout for a seashell or two.

I love creating things, whether it be with paper, paint, or fabric. I consider myself a student of all arts and crafts and while I might not be an expert at anything I am always willing to try. I get a thrill when I finish a project that I dreamed up all on my own, even if the seams aren't straight, or the transfer technique I tried didn't work out (it never does!)

I started blogging ages ago, before my first "real" job. Those posts are very funny...if you like "dripping with sarcasm". Now I write about my art, my ambitions, my "fashion" and my friends. And I take goofy pictures of myself (and my boys) that make it here quite often as well!

I use ellipses and exclamation points way too much. I make up words. I sing silly songs. I heart thrift stores, forgotten memories and putting things into piles.
